Installation
These planter boxes are designed primarily for installation directly into garden beds or landscaped areas.
The planter has an open bottom, allowing soil inside the planter to connect directly with the soil underneath. This provides natural drainage and allows plant roots to extend beyond the planter if required.
Simply position the planter in your desired location, level as required, then fill with suitable soil and planting media.
For installations near paving, concrete or other finished surfaces, keep in mind that Corten steel can release rust-coloured runoff during the early stages of weathering.
Corten Finish
Our planter boxes are manufactured from natural, uncoated Corten weathering steel.
Depending on how long a planter has been in stock, it may arrive in its original steel finish or with some natural weathering already underway.
Once exposed to the elements, the steel will continue to weather naturally through orange and brown tones before developing the deeper rust-coloured patina associated with mature Corten steel.
Each planter will weather slightly differently depending on its location and exposure, giving every piece its own individual character.
Please note: During the initial weathering process, Corten steel can release surface rust and staining. Care should be taken when positioning the planter near light-coloured concrete, paving or other porous surfaces.
